Loudoun County Reporter
The award-winning Loudoun Times-Mirror weekly newspaper and LoudounTimes.com daily website, based in Leesburg, Virginia, is seeking a workhorse reporter. The news division wants someone intrigued by the intricacies of news, whether it's government, education, crime, business, features or culture. This position will be primarily focused around education and the county's 80,000-student school system. Proven writing skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are a must. Preference will be given to someone who is versed in social media and its relation to news. Video and photography skills will also be considered. You'll be expected to produce anywhere from 5-10 stories per week, including quick blurbs, and collaborate well with newsroom colleagues. This position is for a 40-hour work week, which includes covering night meetings several times a month and the occasional weekend work.
