Media Sales Account Executive – Automotive Category

The Daily Press Media Group is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our Automotive Advertising Sales Team.

In this role, you would be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with Automotive dealers in order to grow print, digital revenue, market share, and profitability goals while enhancing customer satisfaction. We are looking for a dynamic sales professional with extensive experience in the media sales and digital space who knows how to drive results and has strong relationship-building capabilities.

  • Build and expand relationships with assigned dealer partners and prospects to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Consult with dealer partners to determine their business needs and offer the best utilization of the products and services offered by The Daily Press Media Group (Print, Direct Mail, Mobile and Desktop, Social Media,SEO, SEM e-mail blasts)
  • Determine the best product combinations for each assigned account based on a needs analysis
  • Execute strategies for selling effectively against the competition
  • Develop and deliver advertising ideas and solutions that provide measurable ROI to dealer partners
  • Strategize with team members to plan and execute multimedia marketing plansCommunicate effectively to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Meet and exceeded revenue expectations
  • Maintain strong ongoing knowledge of the automotive landscape and industry as well as local market dynamics
  • Develop relationships with dealers and dealer groups. Leverage these relationships to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Proactively market the company to customers and convey the advantages of our services
  • As appropriate, manage and monitor all contracts, as well as accounts receivables
  • Maintain a high level of customer service through training and customer support
  • Provide custom training for dealer partners on topics such as chat, review best practices, proper marketing techniques and effective follow up

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 2 years outside media sales experience, knowledge of the auto industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Extensive understanding of digital media platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and maintain market share.
  • Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment; in building customer-based revenue in larger account bases and in delivering customer solutions based on identified needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and time management skills.
